Journal
The Wild Women's Medicine Circle Journal is for all the wild, female voices looking for a home. It's for those of us who have had a hard time getting published because our work has been deemed too bold, too risky, too erotic, too dark, too emotional, too weird, too outside the box, pieces that don't seem to fit into other publications. I often struggle to "fit-in" as a writer, as a woman, as a human. The types of poetry, stories and non-fiction that I write are often erotic, funny, grotesque and sometimes all those things rolled into one. I am not easily marketable. I have relied a lot on self-publishing. But through the experience of self-publishing I have learned to do a lot of things that are quite daunting to other people, like cover design and interior formatting and the endless submission process. In creating this journal I hope to help amplify the voices of women who no longer want to play nice, and give confidence to others like us who don't really follow the herd. I want us to have a place where we can be unapologetically ourselves no matter what that looks like.
